What are Friday classes all about?

Classes follow a play-based, child-led, and nature focused philosophy. Children are always encouraged to be their authentic selves where they are accepted, supported and loved. Play scenarios are designed with core skills and behavioral schemas in mind helping to tap into the natural learning capabilities inside of each child. Each class takes place at Clear Creek Metro Park and is offered to ages 2 - 8. You can sign up by clicking the Enroll Now button.

The classes take place entirely in a natural setting and offer a 1 hour and 15-minute time to disengage from the busy grind of life and reengage with what’s important. Classes start with a 15-minute exploring time, then a 5-minute opening circle time which features an introduction to a play activity or scenario, 45 minutes of child-led free play based on the play activity, and then a 10-minute end of class circle to write or draw about what we’ve done, and reconnect together as a group. You will also get text messages before and after class with reminders and ways to play at home. You must enroll in the entire session, not just one class. If you have 2 or 3 children, there is a sibling discount.
